School Summary
Performance at Rasor has been fairly consistent over the past 4 years, and shy of PISD averages. Rasor Elementary saw just over half (52%) of its 2018-19 STAAR scores meet the state standards and just 29% of standardized scores greatly exceeded those standards. The statistic that is perhaps most noteworthy, however, is Rasor’s high mobility rate—just over 1 in 5 students (20.5%) were moving in or out of Rasor in 2018-’19. With numbers that high, classroom culture is almost always comprised to some extent; after all, teachers need to give significant attention to students who need help acclimating to a new class and new curriculum. Rasor graduates move on to Hendrick Middle School, Clark High, and Plano Senior. Learn more about Rasor Elementary at its PTA Facebook page and at PISD’s Rasor website.
