School Summary
Clark has been a solidly performing high school over the past four years, earning a grade of ‘B’ or ‘B+’ from Plano School Reviews for that span of time. 85% of STAAR scores approached the state standard, just over 2 in 3 (68%) met that standard, and just under 3 in 10 (29%) scores greatly exceeded grade-level expectations. PISD high schools do not register mastery-level STAAR scores at the same frequency as elementary and middle schools, so Clark’s 29% mastery level is not as concerning as it might seem at first. Clark, like most PISD high schools, is quite large with almost 700 students in each grade. Clark is also the only one of PISD’s high schools that has more than 2 middle schools feeding into it (Carpenter, Hendrick, and Schimelpfenig), and graduates move on to Plano Senior. Learn more about Clark at its PTSA Facebook page and at the dedicated PISD website.
