School Summary
Shepton has Renner (B) and Frankford (B-) Middle Schools feeding into it, and has consistently earned a ‘B’ from Plano School Reviews for each of the last 4 years. Like other PISD High Schools (grades 9-10), Shepton does not have a high percentage of STAAR scores that display mastery of grade-level content—and Shepton’s is notably low (24%) given the higher % of scores that met the basic state standard (66%). This relatively low number of mastery-level scores suggests that, for a relatively strong school, there are not a high percentage of students who are excelling. That said, Shepton still enjoys a very solid reputation and feeds into Plano West Senior High, the most high-achieving senior high school in PISD.
