School Summary
West Plano is home to the city’s most affluent neighborhoods, and Plano West is considered to be the city’s most competitive senior high school. Like Plano’s other two senior high schools, Plano West is a large school that has over 1,300 students in each of its two grades (11-12th). As you can see from the stats above, the STAAR test scores of Plano West students in 2018-19 were much higher than the district’s average. Most notably, almost two-thirds of all STAAR test scores met the ‘Mastered’ standard, which shows that a solid majority of Plano West students are exceptionally strong academically. In addition to its academics, Plano West offers a wide variety of sports, clubs and performing arts programs. Jasper and Shepton High Schools feed into Plano West.
