School Summary
Shepard has solid performance numbers with STAAR scores just above the PISD averages. The mobility rate (number of students enrolling and withdrawing each year) is relatively low (7.5%) for an elementary school, which allows for a greater chance to build a shared and successful culture in classrooms and in the school at large. Helping efforts to build and maintain a good school culture is the manageable school size, with an average of just over 75 students per grade. Shepard is the strongest performing elementary school of the four that feed into Wilson Middle School. From there, Shepard feeds into Vines High and Plano Senior.
