School Summary
Located due East of Plano in Murphy, TX, Hunt Elementary has received an ‘A’ from Plano School Reviews for 4 years in a row. Hunt maintains it academic excellence despite being one of PISD’s largest elementary schools, with an average of over 110 students per grade. Hunt has one of the lowest mobility rates (percentage of students who enroll and withdraw each school year) at 4.4% and one of the lowest % of economically disadvantaged students at 8.7% STAAR scores at Hunt showed a mastery of grade-level content 55% of the time and met state standards 77% of the time. Hunt feeds into Murphy Middle School—one of PISD’s finest—and graduates then move on to McMillen High and Plano East Senior High.
